Flow yoga:
flowing movements for your well-being

Principles and positive effects

Mindfulness, self-acceptance, and life in the here and now: These are just some of the basic principles of yoga. They can be experienced particularly well in Flow yoga, as this dynamic yoga style focuses less on technique and more on experiencing a meditative flow state. The aim: achieving a deep sense of inner peace, strength, and timelessness. This makes Flow yoga the perfect way to switch off and relax after a stressful day’s work.

What is Flow yoga?

Flow yoga is based on the principles of Hatha yoga and is thus characterised by dynamic and flowing movements. In this yoga practice, the postures, known as asanas, are not intended to be done in isolation. Instead, the yogi moves from one pose to another in a smooth and continuous flow. In contrast to other yoga styles such as Ashtanga yoga, there is no set sequence of exercises: the asanas can be freely arranged, combined, and varied. The sequence is often referred to as “vinyasa”. A well-known example from Flow yoga is the sun salutation, which is very popular among yogis. The focus of this yoga style is particularly on the synchronisation of movement and breath. This creates a meditative state known as “flow”.

What are the benefits of Flow yoga for your well-being?

Flow yoga has numerous positive effects on both a physical and mental level. Thanks to its flowing movements, it helps loosen muscles, improve mobility and flexibility, as well as promote endurance and stimulate blood circulation. It also strengthens the joints and improves posture. The intensive breath work also improves the body’s oxygen supply and fills up the energy reserves. On a mental level, Flow yoga reduces stressimproves concentration, and helps reach a state of inner peace and balance.
